Building Details
It is intended to develop an accommodation building containing 70 serviced apartments, a manager’s unit, an office/reception, a café/bar lounge, restaurant, meeting room, pool, spa, sauna, gym, car
parking and refuse collection facilities.
The proposed building consists of a three level podium and six storey accommodation tower. The podium contains two levels of car parking and office/reception, with a café/bar lounge on the ground floor
accessed from the Goondoon Street frontage.
The top floor of the podium contains landscaping and recreation areas, being a swimming pool, barbecue areas and gymnasium. This level also contains the manager’s unit, a meeting room, business centre and
restaurant.
Serviced apartments extend up to six floors above the podium and contain 70 lettable units consisting of 33 dual key units and three 2 bedroom units and one 3 bedroom unit.
The twin keyed concept involves two self-contained units in one strata title consisting of a bed-sitter studio unit and a one-bedroom unit. The studio units average 45m² in area and the one bedroom units
average 71m² in area. The manager’s and 2 bedroom units have two bedrooms and average 113m² in area. All units are self-contained and have a washing machine and dryer. The studio units have a kitchenette with a microwave oven and the
one and two bedroom units have hot plates and an oven.
The recreation area on the podium level consists of a swimming pool, spa, a gymnasium with toilets and sauna for guests, and a toilet for ground staff.
The ground floor at Goondoon Street contains the building’s reception area and office administration. The café/bar lounge is an ancillary use to the accommodation building and is combined with the
reception area. The café will serve meals and refreshments including breakfast for guests, and is also available to the general public.
Vehicular access for guests is from the Goondoon Street frontage. The basement enables vehicles to circulate on each floor as well as ascending and descending between car park levels. Service vehicle and
refuse collection is accessed and egressed from Oaka Lane.
The two level car park contains 85 cars.
